The Basic Pistol class is for someone who wants to learn the proper way to safely and responsibly use handguns.

Topics covered include: Firearm Basics (Revolver/ Pistol), What to look for when purchasing a firearm, Shooting Fundamentals, Gear and Gadgets, and Basic/Advanced Skills. At least 1.5 hours will be live fire on the range applying these shooting fundamentals. You do not need to own a gun to take the class. Class firearms available. USCCA certificate issued upon completion of class.

The course consists of discussions of the following areas: *Universal safety rules *Basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. *Provides a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one or more pistol action types (learn about pistols prior to purchasing one). *Pistol parts and operation *Ammunition types *Shooting fundamentals *Provides an introduction to defensive shooting fundamentals *Range rules The course culminates with live fire on a range.
